Ladore is a winter wonderland. As I drove around the grounds the sun made it look like the snow was covered in diamonds. Our maintenance crew has done an excellent job of keeping roads clear and we are looking forward to hosting a large group of delegates from throughout the eastern seaboard this weekend.
Every season is a great time to be at Ladore. The driven snow and icicles make for a spectacular winter wonderland. Spring will bring the scents and signs of life new life. Not only will vegetation come to life, but new critters will make their entrance into this world. Summer brings its lazy days and lots of activity in the pools and lake. Kids will find a refreshing time away from the city, and a taste of the beauty of God’s creation. Fall brings its array of blazing color. The driveway to the Lodge has a stunning row of maples that turn a glowing orange. As it gets colder we seen the deer turning from their tawny brown to darker shades to blend in with the surroundings.
Like the writer of Ecclesiastes said, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…” (Eccl 3:1 NIV)
