The Generations Tree
The Generations Tree honors supporters of the Camp Ladore Endowment Fund. A $1,000,000 Endowment Fund will allow future generations to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this place.
Psalms 145:4: “One generation commends your works to another: they tell of your mighty acts.” TNIV
You can help sustain the important ministry of The Salvation Army at beautiful Camp Ladore by contributing to the Camp Ladore Endowment Fund. With a minimal gift of $1000.00 you will become a sustaining member of Generations and help preserve this camp and its ministry for generations yet to come. Please read the following and give as God directs. We have staff that would be glad to assist you in planning an appropriate gift.
Since 1967 generations of campers of all ages have come to Ladore to experience the majesty of creation, the challenge of the outdoors and the enrichment of new found friends. Every generation has passed on the rich legacy of this place to each who has followed through our gates.
Ladore means different things to many different people. To the young camper, it maybe that first experience of catching a frog or learning to make a bed. To the teenager it maybe a good opportunity for discovering potential and life’s direction. To the man in recovery it has become a special haven away from the dark temptation of the street, and to the older adult is has truly become a special vacation spot that erases the boredom and loneliness of living alone.
As with any facility though, continuing costs for maintenance, new buildings, equipment and day to day repairs increase annually. As a result, budgetary concerns have become more and more critical as the years pass.
The Salvation Army aims to make Ladore available to as many people as possible for the lowest cost possible. Unfortunately, we are finding that the real costs of maintaining Ladore today exceed our abilities in holding true that philosophy.
We also maintain a focused vision of growth and expansion for the future. There is so much more we could be doing in this place, if only the financial resources are available. It is today’s generation insuring that tomorrow’s generation will continue to enjoy the purpose and beauty of Camp Ladore. Our goal is to raise at least $1,000,000. You can become a sustaining member of Generations by including Camp Ladore in your charitable giving and long term financial planning. Generations is an endowment fund established just for Camp Ladore.
Your generations endowment gift today will help perpetuate all the good things that make up a day or a week at Camp Ladore tomorrow. Interest income generated from the endowment will effectively sustain our important ministry at Ladore and become a powerful new resource in helping us to make improvements in our existing facilities and to build for the future. It will provide recreational equipment, needed furnishings and allow us to offer camper scholarships to children and older adults as needed.
Please consider an Endowment gift of any size. Your gift can be made in one cash payment or spread over a period of two or three years. You may also consider making a planned gift through annuities, wills, insurance or real estate, by designating the endowment fund as the eventual recipient. The Salvation Army’s Director of Planned Giving can assist you, and arrangements can be made through Ladore administration.
